Hi! I'm Janae.
I’m a 26-year-old Las Vegas native. I moved to Spokane February of 2025 to start perusing my art seriously. I started doing photography when I was 7. My mom is the worst at taking photos. So many of my baby pictures have her thumb covering most of the image. So, at 7 I decided I could do better. I borrowed her green point and shoot kodak. I’ve been hooked ever since. I took my first actual photography class my sophomore year in high school. I’m extremely grateful for my teacher Mr. Kuhn. We were taught with a film camera; the following year is when we were allowed to use digital. That knowledge has stuck with me. I became my high school robotics photographer. I used to take photos of every event. As the years went on, I dabbled and explored with shooting more things, and just allowing my creativity to grow. I have taken pictures of dang near anything you can think of. I love working outside and taking pictures in the sun… thus the name Sun-Kissed Photos. What can I say? I take photos of everything under the sun.
Photography aside I love self-expression. I love fashion, body modifications, designing clothes, roller skating, dance, aerial fitness, music, farmers markets, good food, animals, and so so so much more. I love having fun, doing new things and exploring.
What sets me apart?
Let's be real. Getting your photo taken can be an extremely vulnerable experience. So many of us are uncomfortable being in front of the camera. I have experience taking self portraits as well as modelling. I pride myself on a lot of things, but comfort is important when it comes to photography. I do everything I can to make my clients comfortable. I want the experience to be fun in itself for one.
On a technical aspect, I offer a unique blend of professionalism, creativity, and personalized attention to detail. My shooting style is versatile, allowing me to capture candid moments and posed portraits with equal skill and precision. I don't have a set style, because every shoot needs something different. I love freelance photography because there's no creative limitations. What truly sets me apart is my commitment to understanding my clients' vision and surpassing their expectations at every turn. I approach each session with passion and genuine joy. There's been multiple times where I start jumping up and down with my camera in hand.
What my clients appreciate most is my flexibility and willingness to accommodate their needs and preferences. I understand that life can be unpredictable, which is why I offer a grace period for sessions and allow rescheduling with a notice.
From start to finish, I strive to create a seamless and enjoyable photography experience for my clients. My goal is to make them feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera, allowing me to capture genuine moments and create stunning visuals that leave a lasting impression. At the end of the day the most important thing is making sure everyone is comfortable! When my clients are enjoying themselves that's when my magic truly sets in.
