If you’ve read my last blog post, then you’d know I’m pretty saddened with how the city is being ran in regards to how the homeless is taken care of. With that weighing heavy on me, and the heat draining me, I’ve been itching for a day trip. Luckily my dorky friends were just as down as I was! The goal was Zion. Since I lived in St George for a little bit, I knew my way around. So I suggested we visit Fort Zion.
This cute little spot has a store, home made ice cream, cute spots for a photo op, and A PETTING FARM. For about 9 dollars I got 3 tickets for the petting farm and 6 carrots to feed the animals. he goats were my favorite. I loved all the babies. Lauren loved the ponies, meanwhile Sharon and the llama had BEEF. She gave him a carrot, expecting him to bite it off. Instead, he are took the entire thing. He’d drop the carrot, Sharon would reach for it but the llama was faster.
We took some photos with the props, washed our hands and then we were Zion bound. I’d like to note, this is about 15 minutes away from Zion National Park
It was Sharon’s first time to Zion ever, and Lauren’s first time in years. I had a blast pointing out things like the Field of Dreams, and the different stores. I had seen everything. I wanted to spend some time in the water, so we did Emerald Pools. I wanted to do Weeping Rock also but due to a landslide Weeping rock no longer exists which is devastating, but that didn’t ruin our trip.
We also saw the most amount of wild life I’ve ever seen at Zion in one sitting. Please keep in mind these are just the animals I took photos of. We saw wild turkeys, baby deers and all sorts of animals.

I guess the key to life IS touching grass
